Proposals for a new Aldi store for Chatham

Aldi, the award-winning discount food retailer, is excited to announce plans for a new high-quality food store at a site in Chatham.

Aldi is preparing a planning application for submission to Medway Council and is keen to consult with the community ahead of submitting a planning application so that we can hear your views first-hand, to take those into account as we finalise our proposals. We will report the outcome of this consultation in a Statement of Community Involvement submitted with the planning application and encourage you to participate and provide your thoughts.

Thank you for visiting our public consultation website. We look forward to hearing your feedback.

Improved choice for Chatham

Aldi would like to offer residents in Chatham access to our low-cost, high-quality products.

Aldi is seeking to deliver a new affordable supermarket store, which would lead to an investment of £7 million into the local economy. If approved, a new Aldi food store would provide up to 50 new, full-time equivalent jobs, paid at an industry leading rate.

The closest Aldi stores to the site are currently located in Horsted Retail Park and Gillingham, which are increasingly popular and busy.

A new store at this site would improve the local retail offering and ensure that the local community has access to Aldi’s award-winning range of low-cost, high-quality products.

Aldi is well known for selling a variety of high-quality products at the lowest prices. Our customers can make significant savings on their shopping without compromising on quality, with everyday items available at unbeatable prices.
