Proposals for a new Aldi store for Horndean

Aldi, the award-winning discount food retailer, is excited to announce plans for a new high-quality food store on Havant Road in Horndean.

Aldi is preparing a planning application for submission to East Hampshire District Council, following our public consultation held in November 2024. You can still view the plans from the public consultation here.

Improved choice for Horndean

Aldi would like to offer residents in Horndean access to our award-winning range of low cost, high quality products.

We are seeking to deliver a new community food store, representing an investment of £7 million in the local economy.

If approved, the plans would provide up to 40 new, full-time equivalent jobs, paid at an industry leading rate.

The closest Aldi stores to the site are currently in Havant and Petersfield: both of these stores are increasingly popular and busy.

A new store on Havant Road will improve access to Aldi’s range of products for people in Horndean and the surrounding areas: reducing the need to travel further afield.

Aldi is well known for selling a variety of high-quality products at the lowest prices.

Our customers can make significant savings on their shopping without compromising on quality, with everyday items available at unbeatable prices.

A store in this location would provide easy access to a high-quality, low-price retailer.
