Aldi, the award-winning discount food retailer, is proposing an extension and reconfiguration of the existing Aldi food store in Moreton off Hoylake Road.

We are proud to have been part of the local community in Moreton for many years. However, we feel with the continued popularity of the store we need to make some changes to the existing store in order to improve the shopping experience for our customers.

We hope to submit a planning application to Wirral Council by the end of 2021 and look forward to hearing the feedback from the local community in advance of this.

Why is this extension needed?

Aldi’s existing store is popular with the local community, and we believe there is an opportunity to improve our offering and better meet the needs of the local community. The plans will provide more space internally allowing for wider aisles and an improved layout.

The new, larger food store would be designed to improve customer experience and will include, extra space for fresh fruit and vegetables at the front of the store, as well as our chilled and food-to-go ranges. The proposals will also extend the car park to increase the provision from 86 spaces to 118 spaces.
