Bringing Aldi to Horsham

Aldi has wanted to open a store in Horsham for some time and is delighted to have identified the partially vacant, town centre, Tanbridge Retail Park site as a suitable location. The site, currently occupied by a Currys and a vacant unit, will be redeveloped to provide an Aldi store.

We know that many of our customers currently have to travel out of Horsham to visit our award winning store offer. A new store in the town centre will provide easier access to our store and reduce the need to travel. Aldi’s multi-million  pound investment will regenerate this brownfield site and ensure it stays in beneficial, economic use. The store will create 50 new jobs, which Aldi will actively seek to recruit from the local area.

Aldi stores are modest in scale and have a contemporary design. The site will be landscaped and have 96 car parking spaces, including 9 designated parent and child bays, and 5 blue badge bays. There will also be 4 electric vehicle charging points with provision for 8 more when needed in the future.

Unlike other supermarkets, Aldi is not a ‘one stop shop’. Our smaller stores focus on a limited range of great value, high quality goods, complementing rather than competing with existing local shops and services.
