About the proposals:
- A new, modestly sized Aldi food store with a sales area of 1,332m² including an external lobby
- Access in and out of the site will be available through a new purpose-built road off Caernarfon Road
- The existing footpath on Caernarfon Road will be extended to provide pedestrian access (including an accessible ramp) to the store,
- A new store in a convenient location which would reduce the need for customers to travel further afield
- Free customer parking for 113 cars, including eight disabled, 10 parent-and-child spaces, 14 cycle spaces, three motorcycle spaces and 12 electric vehicle charging points.
- Around 40 new local jobs for the new Aldi store, paid at Aldi’s industry-leading rate
- Additional employment opportunities provided during construction and in the supply chain
- Attractive landscaping around the site to create an appealing and welcoming environment
