Make your views heard for Aldi in Southam

Aldi has submitted plans to Stratford-on-Avon District Council for a brand-new food store.

Our plans would provide a fresh and modern food store for the local community, helping reduce travel outside of Southam and keep money in the local economy. Our plans include beautiful landscaping around the site as well 121 parking spaces for our customers.

Our proposal will;

  • Increase shopping choice and provide healthy competition in Southam, with the first discount retailer of its kind coming to the town
  • Create around 40-50 new jobs at the proposed store for local people at a time when they are really needed in the local community
  • Support further job opportunities through the supply chain and construction process
  • Help to boost the local economy, representing a £5m+ investment into the site
  • Retain spending within Southam by reducing the need for people to travel out of the area to complete their food shopping, including many existing Aldi customers who currently travel to Leamington Spa and Coventry.
